Finance Project Manager (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Manila, Philippines; relocation to Manila required

What you will do

• Lead the Finance side of the core banking system project, managing scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, vendor selection, design, and rollout.
• Translate accounting needs, regulatory obligations such as BSP/MORB, and product-administration requirements into system requirements.
• Run UAT, data-migration validation, and cutover planning in coordination with IT, Engineering, Compliance, and vendors.
• Drive accounting-backlog remediation with clear milestones and coordinate Finance colleagues and external support.
• Integrate month-end and period-end close and reporting from the core banking system directly with the general ledger.
• Automate manual entries, reconciliations, and reporting, including the use of AI where applicable, while supporting IPO-readiness work.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with a strong track record in finance or accounting project management.
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and the close process.
• Experience leading process-automation initiatives and practical Odoo or comparable ERP experience for accounting automation.
• Strong IT literacy, including system architecture, data flows, and technical requirements.
• Proficiency in project scoping, milestone tracking, risk management, and stakeholder communication across Finance, IT/Engineering, and Compliance.
• Ability to turn ambiguous problems into structured plans with measurable milestones.
