German Speaking Software Maintenance Engineer

Location: Budapest, Hungary; hybrid setup with two home office days per week. Willingness to travel up to 20% and work outside office hours when required.

What you will do

• Execute software maintenance projects on Omnivise T3000 distributed control system units.
• Install application, system, and security patches released and tested by the development department.
• Implement corrective measures to maintain software integrity, efficiency, and reliability.
• Install and configure cybersecurity components, including application whitelisting virtual machines, network intrusion detection systems, and security information and event management tools.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance projects with customers and regional hirify.global counterparts.
• Act as the first point of contact for Omnivise T3000 software maintenance projects worldwide.

Requirements

• Strong technical background in information technology, computer science, or electrical engineering.
• Experience with IT system administration, software installation and deployment, network topology, and scripting.
• Strong bug-fixing, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and customer-facing skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken German and English is required.
• Ability to work with customers worldwide and collaborate in an intercultural team.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and work outside regular office hours when required.
