Senior Engineer II-Corporate Applications (Embedded Systems)

What you will do

• Provide customer-facing technical support for Microchip devices, development tools, and embedded solutions through phone, email, website Q&A, Salesforce cases, customer visits, and follow-up.
• Investigate device and tool issues, remove technical barriers, and provide feedback to silicon applications and development tools teams.
• Support customers and distributors with export control documentation and explain related regulatory terminology in Japanese.
• Review translated datasheets, brochures, application notes, news, advertisements, banners, and other technical materials.
• Support technical workshops, online and offline training, product demonstrations, university lectures, seminars, scholarships, and design contests.
• Manage local technical website databases and Q&A content, upload materials, create reference application notes, and report customer activity.

Requirements

• Experience with microcontroller- or ASIC-based system development or design, especially Ethernet, Wi-Fi, USB, or Bluetooth connectivity.
• Working knowledge of hardware and firmware for electrical and electronic application systems, plus good C programming skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline; a Master’s or PhD is preferred.
• Relevant experience in customer technical support, applications engineering, embedded systems, electronic system design, or technical issue resolution.
• Native-level Japanese communication skills and strong English skills, including TOEIC 800 or higher, are required.
• Strong customer-facing, problem-solving, presentation, and cross-functional communication skills; willingness to travel as required.

• FPGA circuit design experience.
• Technical documentation localization, website content, marketing communications, or translated-material review experience.
• Experience developing training materials, delivering technical workshops, or supporting university programs.
• Experience collaborating with regional, global, or overseas engineering teams.
