TL;DR
Software Engineer, Backend (AI) (Java/Python/Go, fraud prevention): Building and maintaining backend services, APIs, and data systems for real-time fraud detection, abuse prevention, and risk management with an accent on clean code, testing, and distributed systems. Focus on designing RESTful APIs, working with relational and non-relational databases, troubleshooting production systems, and collaborating with data engineers and SREs.

What you will do
- Develop and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs supporting fraud detection and abuse prevention.
- Build and work with data systems for risk management across the platform.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering standards.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with backend engineers, data engineers, and SREs on architecture and operational requirements.
- Troubleshoot production issues and deliver assigned features with guidance from senior engineers.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of professional backend software development experience.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language, such as Java, Python, Go, or C++.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
- Proficiency with Git and experience with Agile/Scrum development.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools, strong problem-solving skills, and willingness to learn.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Basic experience with Docker, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Interest in security or fraud prevention systems.
