Senior Data Engineer (Databricks)

Location: Hanoi, Vietnam

hirify.global Vietnam provides technical support and expert services for hirify.global Group projects in testing, inspection, and certification across construction and infrastructure sectors.

What you will do

• Develop end-to-end data pipelines covering ingestion, transformation, modeling, and data exposure.
• Contribute to visualizations in Power BI and Databricks SQL.
• Improve the hirify.global Lakehouse through stronger governance, data quality, and data pseudonymization.
• Experiment with generative AI solutions such as Databricks GenIE to convert text queries into actionable insights.
• Collaborate in an agile environment with colleagues across the global group.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Big Data, Computer Science, or Software Engineering, with at least 3 years of Data Engineering experience.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL database skills, including modeling, query optimization, integrity, and performance.
• Understanding of Big Data architecture and distributed processing tools such as Spark, Hadoop, Airflow, Kafka, and Delta Lake.
• Experience with Git, GitLab, Jupyter Notebooks, and VS Code.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT, Data Lakehouse, DataOps, CI/CD, monitoring, and data quality.
• Good communication skills in English or French are required.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with Databricks.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud services.
• Interest in generative AI and its integration into data platforms.
