Focus on negotiating commercialisation transactions, shaping strategic partnerships, and taking early-stage research to market.
Location: Primarily based at Brisbane South (Nathan) or Gold Coast, Australia, with work across other university locations. A mix of on-campus and work-from-home options is available.

Griffith Enterprise is ’s commercialisation office, managing and commercialising university intellectual property and research expertise.
What you will do
- Identify, assess, develop, and lead commercialisation opportunities in medtech and digital health.
- Work with Griffith researchers to evaluate early-stage technologies and intellectual property.
- Negotiate licences, research agreements, start-ups, and other commercialisation transactions.
- Build and manage commercial partnerships with external organisations.
- Lead the commercialisation and IP management process from early-stage research through deal negotiations and company formation.
- Advance commercialisation awareness and skills across the University.
Requirements
- Postgraduate degree and 5+ years of experience in a similar commercialisation role.
- Successful track record commercialising medtech-based research through licences, research collaborations, or start-ups.
- Technical knowledge in a relevant medtech or digital health area.
- Expertise in business development, intellectual property management and protection, patents, and other forms of IP.
- Ability to assess early-stage technologies, identify opportunities, scope, pitch, and negotiate transactions.
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia are required; visa sponsorship is not available.
