What you will do
- Provide programming and site development support for online publication delivery across web, iOS, Android, and RSS platforms.
- Develop publication-ready digital assets, page layouts, scripts, graphics, video, podcasts, and other multimedia elements.
- Prepare web-ready materials from written, electronic, PDF, and XML sources using WCMS and web development tools.
- Troubleshoot responsive layouts, JavaScript/jQuery, CSS, multimedia, and social media feed integrations.
- Ensure web content meets Section 508 accessibility standards.
- Produce monthly web analytics reports and recommend improvements, distribution channels, and emerging publishing technologies.
Requirements
- Expert-level experience with WordPress, JavaScript/jQuery, CSS3, HTML5, AJAX, and responsive web design.
- Experience developing mobile HTML5 sites.
- Technical production experience in scholarly journal publishing.
- Experience with video editing.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude for content or workflow support.
- The position is contingent upon contract award and funding; work cannot begin until funding is confirmed.
