3D/AR/VR Software Engineer (Robotics): Building reliable 3D interfaces and AR/VR applications for supervising, manipulating, and controlling humanoid robots with an accent on spatial interaction, teleoperation, rendering, and robot integration. Focus on designing interactive workflows, connecting user-facing applications with perception and control systems, and deploying maintainable software on real robotic hardware.

What you will do

  • Design and implement 3D workflows for supervising, manipulating, and controlling humanoid robots through AR/VR.
  • Build spatial input, visualization, teleoperation, task specification, and robot feedback interactions.
  • Integrate AR/VR applications with robot perception, planning, manipulation, locomotion, and control systems.
  • Develop interfaces for exchanging commands, state, sensor data, and 3D scene representations.
  • Turn research prototypes into reliable, maintainable applications with testing, monitoring, and deployment workflows.
  • Collaborate with researchers and engineers across robotics disciplines, evaluate interfaces through user studies, and diagnose field failures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, human-computer interaction, game development, creative technology, design, robotics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in C#, C++, or another relevant language.
  • Experience designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining production-quality software.
  • Experience with Unity, Unreal, Git, containers, build systems, and continuous-integration workflows.
  • Experience with Meta Quest, Apple, Varjo, or comparable headsets.
  • Strong debugging skills across complex, interactive, distributed, and performance-sensitive systems, with a focus on reliability and usability.

Nice to have

  • Experience with robots, physical systems, sensors, or real-time processes.
  • Experience with teleoperation systems or human-in-the-loop industrial interfaces.
  • Experience with safety-critical user interfaces, ergonomics, human factors, or haptic devices.
  • Experience integrating systems with ATAK.
