TL;DR
Head of DevOps (Azure/Kubernetes): Leading the DevOps function and building cloud, CI/CD, and platform reliability capabilities across a global cybersecurity organization with an accent on organizational leadership, Azure architecture, Kubernetes, and secure delivery practices. Focus on setting technical strategy, resolving critical incidents, driving GitOps and Zero Trust adoption, and developing managers and senior engineers.
Location: Tel Aviv, Israel; hybrid work model with up to three days per week in the office

What you will do
- Lead the DevOps function, including managers, team leads, and senior individual contributors.
- Own the DevOps roadmap, organizational structure, hiring, performance management, and career development.
- Set technical direction for Azure, Kubernetes AKS, Istio, Terraform, CI/CD, platform reliability, and GitOps workflows.
- Define KPIs, SLAs, and error budgets while making tooling, budget, and build-versus-buy decisions.
- Handle critical incidents, architecture decisions, root-cause analysis, code and infrastructure reviews, and long-term remediation.
- Drive adoption of Zero Trust, observability, PIM/RBAC, WAF, and scalable change-management practices across Engineering, Security, IT, and Product.
Requirements
- 8+ years of DevOps or SRE experience in SaaS or cloud-native environments.
- 4+ years in senior leadership, including direct management of managers or team leads.
- Hands-on expertise with Terraform or Terragrunt, Kubernetes AKS, Helm, and Istio.
- Experience leading organizational change from strategic planning through execution.
- Experience mentoring senior engineers, developing managers, and collaborating with Security and Product leadership.
- Experience with Zero Trust architecture, PIM/RBAC, and secure network configuration in Azure.
Nice to have
- Experience scaling a DevOps or platform organization through a management layer.
- Experience with Kafka, event-driven systems, and distributed systems architecture.
- Background in identity, security, or compliance-heavy SaaS products.
- Experience presenting technical strategy to executive audiences.
- Experience building internal platforms or tools adopted by engineering teams.
