Metrology Technician I (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Calibrate and repair temperature, pressure, conductivity, humidity, pH, TOC, flow, mass, and frequency measuring equipment.
• Record calibration and maintenance activities accurately and review documentation for completeness.
• Operate calibration standards and use electronic calibration management systems.
• Identify equipment deviations, troubleshoot systematic problems, and support process owners.
• Maintain aseptic cleanroom certification and complete work according to department schedules and procedures.
• Support training, process confirmations, safety requirements, and other department activities.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in a related engineering or science discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Alternatively, a high school diploma or GED with five years of relevant metrology or calibration experience and five years of experience with instrumentation and control systems.
• Ability to read and apply schematics, wiring diagrams, and other technical documents.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to document problems thoroughly and accurately and resolve them promptly.
• Ability to work on-site for shifts of up to 12 hours, handle equipment weighing up to 33 pounds, work at heights or in confined spaces, and work around hazardous materials and loud noise with required protective equipment.

Nice to have

• At least three years of relevant metrology or calibration experience.
• Thorough understanding of instrumentation and control systems.
• Competency in metrology and calibration of the listed measurement parameters.
• Strong task management, logical work planning, systematic troubleshooting, and follow-up skills.
