D365 Senior Consultant

Location: Based in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom; travel to operational sites may be required.

What you will do

• Set the functional direction for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management initiatives across procurement, inventory, warehousing, manufacturing, planning, and logistics.
• Lead discovery workshops, fit-gap assessments, solution design, functional configuration, and process modelling.
• Translate operational requirements into scalable solutions aligned with Microsoft best practices, prioritising standard functionality before customisation.
• Coordinate with architects, developers, integration specialists, data teams, vendors, and operational subject matter experts.
• Direct functional testing, defect triage, user acceptance testing, cutover planning, deployment, and early-life support.
• Advise senior stakeholders, support adoption and training, and coach junior consultants.

Requirements

• Substantial experience delivering functional consulting assignments in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management.
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and process transition into D365 environments.
• Strong functional expertise in warehouse management, inventory, procurement and sourcing, production control, manufacturing, and master planning.
• Hands-on understanding of Advanced Warehouse Management, warehouse execution, mobile processes, inventory, and fulfilment.
• Experience delivering complete project lifecycles from discovery and design through testing, deployment, and adoption.
• Willingness to travel to operational locations when required by project delivery or stakeholder engagement.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management certification.
• Experience in retail, food production, hospitality, logistics, distribution, or another high-volume operational sector.
• A degree or equivalent professional background in information systems, technology, business, supply chain, or a related discipline.
