Polish Machining Team Lead (MedTech)

Salary: $55,000–$88,550 per year

What you will do

• Operate machining, forming, finishing, inspection, assembly, and packaging equipment used to manufacture orthopedic medical devices and implants.
• Inspect in-process and finished products for dimensional and cosmetic compliance using gauges, micrometers, calipers, comparators, and other measuring instruments.
• Coordinate production performance, staffing coverage, schedules, operating supplies, and department metrics including OEE, output, downtime, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor machine downtime, escalate repairs through Maximo, and perform regular operator asset care and process machine maintenance.
• Resolve quality issues and rework or reprocess nonconforming products in collaboration with quality, production, engineering, and cell leadership.
• Support expansion and validation activities, documentation, environmental health and safety procedures, and compliance with medical-device requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to learn and follow department procedures, safety requirements, operating instructions, and maintenance documentation.
• Ability to operate electronic systems and complete required production and inspection documentation.
• Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with coworkers and the public.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and comply with applicable medical-device, quality, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Ability to perform operator-level duties in the assigned area and set a standard for production performance and employee involvement.
