QC Microbiology Supervisor

Salary: $85,500–$142,500 annual base salary, plus a performance-related bonus

What you will do

• Lead hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, coaching, and professional development for laboratory personnel.
• Assign, prioritize, and oversee daily Quality Control activities and monitor performance against operational objectives.
• Supervise routine and complex microbiology testing, including environmental monitoring and microbiology analysis.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, quality, regulatory, and safety requirements, escalating potential risks to senior management.
• Review, approve, and sign quality documentation within authorized levels.
• Support quality initiatives, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two years of experience in a related industry.
• Experience interpreting, implementing, and reviewing quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to make decisions on scheduling, workload prioritization, and resource allocation.
• Ability to lead problem-solving efforts and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, management, and stakeholders.
• Work in the Vacaville, California location.
