Full Stack Software Engineer (Python/Angular)

Location: Hybrid role with regular visits to the HQ in Tutzing, Germany or Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Remote work is available from Germany or the Netherlands.

What you will do

• Develop Python backend services, including data models, business logic, validation, migrations, and automated tests.
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs for services, front ends, and neighboring systems.
• Define and implement scalable microservices from schema design through deployment.
• Build Angular and TypeScript front-end components, state management, routing, and tests.
• Operate containerized, stateless services on AWS using CI/CD, monitoring, and alerting.
• Work with Product Management to simplify customer workflows and improve engineering practices, reliability, and incident handling.

Requirements

• Around three to five years of professional software engineering experience, with Python as the primary language.
• Production experience building and operating typed Python backends and APIs, preferably with FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, and relational databases.
• Practical experience with asyncio, asynchronous services, schema design, migrations, and network-boundary concerns such as timeouts, retries, and idempotency.
• Experience with Angular and TypeScript, Docker, stateless services, testing, telemetry, debugging, and secure handling of access and secrets.
• Strong English communication skills; the role is based in Germany or the Netherlands and requires regular HQ visits for the hybrid arrangement.

Nice to have

• Hands-on AWS experience covering compute, networking, storage, and identity.
• Experience with serverless patterns, Terraform or CloudFormation, GitHub Actions, monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• German language skills.
