Senior User Experience Researcher (Fintech)

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid work with 1–3 days per week on-site and the remaining days remote

What you will do

• Build research roadmaps with product, design, strategy, and cross-functional teams.
• Select and apply qualitative and quantitative research methods for digital products across web, mobile, and desktop.
• Plan and conduct interviews, usability testing, surveys, card sorting, concept testing, and A/B testing.
• Lead participant recruitment by defining target audiences, screening criteria, and study logistics.
• Synthesize findings into clear presentations, narratives, and actionable recommendations for product, experience, and business decisions.
• Advance research operations, share expertise, use AI-powered solutions, and mentor less experienced researchers.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of dedicated user experience research experience focused on digital products.
• Experience with qualitative and quantitative research, participant recruitment, usability testing, and survey design.
• Experience with research platforms such as Maze, UserTesting, Qualtrics, or similar tools.
• Degree or diploma in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Cognitive Science, Information Studies, Anthropology, or a related field.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada at the specified location, with a valid work or study permit where applicable.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, storytelling, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-enabled research tools and emerging technologies.
• Experience with accessibility standards, persona creation, user behavior analysis, UI design, or wireframing.
