Site Reliability Engineer (Video Platform)

Multinational telecommunications technology organization developing and operating video platform services.

What you will do

• Monitor the health and performance of live, linear, and on-demand video services using observability tools.
• Support video platform operations across encoding, transcoding, packaging, origin servers, DRM, and CDN delivery.
• Troubleshoot service-impacting incidents, escalate complex issues, and participate in supervised on-call rotations.
• Execute runbooks for operational tasks, deployments, and platform maintenance.
• Write and maintain basic automation scripts in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Document incident response procedures and collaborate with network, storage, CDN, and application teams.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk, or Datadog.
• General understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and HTTP.
• Background in systems or network administration and readiness to develop video reliability engineering skills.

Nice to have

• Awareness of HLS, MPEG-DASH, or RTMP streaming protocols.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
