What you will do

• Build reinforcement learning, post-training data, and model evaluation infrastructure for frontier AI development.
• Develop agentic AI applications and tooling that makes systems observable, testable, and safe to deploy.
• Create fraud-detection, contributor-quality, and advanced matching systems for Scale's platform.
• Build efficient UI/UX tooling and ML-powered products for large-scale contributor workflows.
• Develop AI infrastructure products for visualizing, querying, and exploring data.
• Ship customer-facing applications, including RAG systems and ML-powered retention integrations, while working directly with customers and iterating on products.

Requirements

• Graduation in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 with a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, EECS, Computer Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• Product engineering experience, including building full-stack web applications and integrating APIs and services.
• Previous product or software engineering internship experience.
• Experience shipping high-quality products and features at scale and building systems that process large volumes of data.
• Experience with Python, TypeScript, React, and/or MongoDB.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with LLMs, evaluations, or agentic systems through internships, research, or personal projects.
• Open-source contributions or a portfolio of shipped side projects.
