TSMS Laboratory Technician (Biotechnology)

Location: Kinsale, Co. Cork, Ireland. Onsite client-environment role with shift work from 08:00 to 18:00, four days on followed by four days off.

What you will do

• Support cell culture and downstream purification activities, including equipment setup, bioreactor preparation, and media, feed, and buffer make-ups.
• Perform routine laboratory equipment checks, calibrations, reagent replenishment, and maintenance coordination.
• Manage laboratory stocks and consumables to maintain continuous operational availability.
• Follow safety, housekeeping, quality, and discrepancy-reporting requirements.
• Maintain accurate equipment records, electronic laboratory notebooks, data files, and other documentation.
• Provide general laboratory support and collaborate with colleagues and internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Diploma or higher in a scientific discipline such as biochemistry, biotechnology, or biology, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience with laboratory-scale cell culture, aseptic technique, media preparation, and autoclave operation.
• Laboratory experience involving procedures and support for scientific operations.
• Strong planning, organisational, IT, data-entry, documentation, and laboratory software skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
