Staff Product Designer (Marketplace)

Location: On-site at the New York City office in SoHo

Salary: $250K–$280K plus equity

What you will do

• Own the quality, coherence, strategy, and evolution of either the consumer or organizer product domain.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Research, Data, and company leadership to identify opportunities and influence the roadmap.
• Lead ambitious zero-to-one initiatives from first-principles exploration and validation through design, launch, and iteration.
• Use a deep understanding of users, the marketplace, business, data, and technology to improve the product.
• Set a high bar for interaction, systems, and visual design while remaining deeply hands-on.
• Shape design standards, systems, and product principles alongside the other Staff Product Designer.

Requirements

• Portfolio demonstrating exceptional product thinking, strategy, interaction design, and visual craft.
• Proven experience leading significant zero-to-one products from ambiguous starting points to meaningful outcomes.
• Experience owning a substantial product area or domain and influencing its strategy.
• Exceptional product judgment, systems thinking, and visual and interaction design craft.
• Ability to operate with high autonomy, create direction from ambiguity, and influence executives and senior cross-functional partners.
• Desire to remain deeply hands-on while operating at a strategic level.
