Development Scientist II (Medtech)

What you will do

• Develop product designs, production methods, testing procedures, and process specifications for hematology and urinalysis reagents.
• Support product scale-up, process optimization, technology transfer, and validation activities.
• Perform testing, analyze results, and prepare reports according to global and local quality procedures.
• Ensure testing and documentation support consumable claims for instruments and consumables.
• Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
• Follow laboratory safety procedures while working in a multidisciplinary R&D environment.

Requirements

• Experience working in an FDA- and ISO 13485-regulated environment.
• Knowledge of basic statistical methods and proficiency with Excel and JMP for data analysis and presentation.
• Experience or knowledge in chemistry, microscopy, basic engineering, and reagent manufacturing.
• Experience using laboratory equipment such as pH meters, osmometers, conductivity meters, and spectrophotometers.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. without assistance.
