Senior Network Programmer (C++)

Location: Office-based in Chengdu, China; Bordeaux, France; Montreal, Canada; or Stockholm, Sweden

What you will do

• Design and implement network functions for game projects using hirify.global middleware and independent development.
• Implement and maintain online game services and networking solutions that support fast, stable access to backend services.
• Integrate network libraries with gameplay systems and collaborate with gameplay programmers and game designers.
• Debug network-library issues and identify and resolve network performance problems.
• Support cross-platform play, multi-platform development, and high-concurrency requirements.
• Contribute to system design, technical documentation, and online requirements across production teams.

Requirements

• Strong experience with C++ development and online services development using C#/.NET Core or other languages.
• Professional experience in game development.
• Knowledge of online service APIs, communication protocols, and game networking models, including client-server and peer-to-peer architectures.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese.
• Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and independently drive design, execution, troubleshooting, and optimization.

Nice to have

• Experience with Git-based workflows, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Linux, or console development.
• Strong learning ability.
