Senior QA Automation Engineer (AI/LLM)

Location: Remote within the United States; working hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm ET. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable end-to-end automation frameworks for complex web applications and APIs.
• Integrate Claude or other LLMs into test suites for self-healing scripts, non-deterministic UI validation, and automated test data generation.
• Use prompt engineering and LLM APIs to automate repetitive QA tasks and improve test coverage.
• Manage defects, regression suites, and sprint tasks in Linear.
• Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and data scientists while mentoring QA engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in QA automation engineering.
• Proficiency with Playwright using TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python; Selenium experience is also acceptable with modern testing architecture knowledge.
• Demonstrated experience with large language models, including Claude or OpenAI APIs, and writing effective system prompts.
• Practical experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and with teams across different time zones.

Nice to have

• Experience using Linear; Jira experience is acceptable.
• Understanding of AI-driven QA approaches and self-healing test automation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
