Lead Level Designer

Eleventh Hour Games is a growing game studio focused on top-down action RPGs, including Last Epoch.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of level designers.
• Define and execute the creative vision for levels supporting gameplay, narrative, and artistic goals.
• Collaborate with environment artists, narrative designers, systems designers, engineers, and production.
• Review level layouts, encounter balance, pacing, progression, and worldbuilding consistency.
• Contribute to level blockouts, encounter scripting, and gameplay prototypes.
• Establish scalable workflows, pipelines, and best practices while tracking deliverables and quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional level design experience in the game industry.
• At least 2+ years in a lead or senior design role.
• Experience shipping at least one title in a senior or leadership capacity.
• Understanding of encounter design, pacing, and player progression.
• Experience with level design tools in engines such as Unity or Unreal.
• Strong collaboration, communication, documentation, problem-solving, and organizational skills in a remote-first environment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ARPGs, live-service pipelines, and multi-team collaboration.
