Mobile Software Engineer in Test (SDET) Specialist I - Brazil (AI)

What you will do

• Own and evolve the mobile quality strategy across native iOS and Android applications, combining automated, exploratory, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Design, maintain, and improve scalable automation frameworks using Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, and Maestro, integrating tests into CI/CD workflows.
• Define validation for mobile-specific scenarios, including app lifecycle, deep links, push notifications, permissions, biometrics, gestures, accessibility, localization, and network conditions.
• Establish device and operating-system coverage using real-device platforms and lead mobile release practices across distribution and delivery tooling.
• Operationalize AI-assisted and agentic testing workflows with measurable quality standards, human oversight, and engineer-in-the-loop validation.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Platform teams while improving QA practices, quality metrics, documentation, and reusable testing methods; mentor QA engineers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of quality assurance engineering experience, including significant manual and automated testing of native iOS and/or Android applications.
• Advanced experience with mobile automation frameworks such as Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, or Maestro.
• Proficiency reading or working in Kotlin and/or Swift, with programming experience in languages and frameworks such as Java, TestNG, or JUnit.
• Experience with real-device testing, mobile CI/CD, release and distribution tooling, debugging, profiling, crash reporting, observability, bug tracking, and test management.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted testing, AI testing platforms, or MCP-based test generation and execution, including judgment around reliability and human oversight.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience; strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with mobile accessibility, localization, internationalization, or visual regression testing.
• Broad cross-functional experience or deep specialized mastery in mobile quality engineering.
