QA Engineer (Anywhere in Europe)

Location: Anywhere in Europe; Ukraine. Remote contract role.

Salary: $20,000–$30,000 per year, based on scope, national market benchmarks, expertise, experience, and contribution impact.

What you will do

• Design and execute test strategies across iOS, Android, web, and backend services.
• Validate end-to-end user flows spanning frontend interfaces and backend systems.
• Test RESTful APIs, backend business logic, data integrity, and integrations.
• Run cross-platform regression testing before releases to improve stability and release confidence.
• Investigate defects using logs, network tools, and API inspection techniques, then document and track issues through resolution.
• Maintain test environments, device coverage, and reliable platform test data while surfacing risks during sprint planning and releases.

Requirements

• Experience testing mobile, web, and/or backend systems.
• Strong experience validating RESTful APIs and backend business logic.
• Solid understanding of software development and testing lifecycle practices.
• Hands-on experience with Postman or similar API testing tools.
• Ability to understand system architecture, integrations, and data flow.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills; the role is remote from Europe.

Hiring process

• When applicable, a one-hour technical interview followed by a one-hour live technical assessment with the QA Lead and QA Engineer.
