Autonomy and Robotics Engineer (AI)

Location: Onsite five days a week in Mossville or Peoria, Illinois, or Irving or Dallas, Texas, United States. Relocation may be available.

Salary: $89,210–$144,960 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and configure robotics software for autonomous construction machines.
• Contribute to machine perception, autonomous decision-making, navigation, machine control, and connectivity.
• Build and integrate human-machine interface software, hardware components, and communication protocols.
• Use simulation, modeling, and digital twin tools to validate machine behavior, controls, and system performance.
• Debug and move complex hardware/software prototypes toward reliable, production-ready solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in robotics engineering, computer science, computer engineering, data science, AI engineering, software engineering, systems engineering, mechatronics engineering, or a related field by the start date.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience; internships and academic projects are accepted.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 without rounding.
• Experience with robotics, autonomy, mechatronics, embedded systems, or sensor-based systems.
• Exposure to ROS/ROS2, Python, firmware, real-time software, hardware interfaces, machine communication protocols, AI/ML, computer vision, data analytics, or cloud-based tools.
• Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• ABET-accredited degree program.
• Hands-on experience building, programming, testing, or integrating autonomous robots, machines, vehicles, or sensor-based systems.
