Senior Software Engineer (Project Hire)

Location: Lake Buena Vista, Florida, United States

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 per year in Orlando, Florida.

What you will do

• Build and maintain APIs and services for internal and external-facing applications.
• Develop and support cloud-enabled applications using AWS.
• Implement front-end features in coordination with backend systems.
• Write maintainable, well-tested code and participate in peer code reviews.
• Support product refreshes, launches, production releases, troubleshooting, and uptime.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, engineering, and other cross-functional partners.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of related software development experience.
• Full-stack engineering experience with strong cloud, API, and UI capabilities.
• Angular, RxJS, state management, Node.js with Express or NestJS, and Java 17+ with Spring Boot and microservices.
• AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and Aurora; experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• UI and API testing experience with JUnit and Postman, plus strong debugging and production-readiness skills.
• Experience with LLMs and generative AI, including RAG, prompt design, guardrails, agentic AI tools, and Python scripting for automation or AI/ML integration.
