Part-Time Pharmacist - Closed Door | Onsite - Chesterfield, MO

Location: Onsite at 400 South Woods Mills Rd, Suite 100, Chesterfield, Missouri. Part-time, hourly role for 20 hours per week, with either two 10-hour shifts or four weekday office shifts.

What you will do

• Clinically verify new and refill prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness, interactions, contraindications, dosing, quantity, labeling, and NDC accuracy.
• Perform drug utilization reviews, dispense medications in a closed-door fulfillment setting, and verify cold-chain handling for specialty medications.
• Provide outbound and inbound phone-based counseling, explain medication use and side effects, document interactions, and support Spanish-speaking patients where applicable.
• Contact prescribers to resolve incomplete or inappropriate prescriptions and coordinate substitutions, DAW overrides, and formulary alternatives.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, conduct real-time quality checks, and contribute to coaching, training, and workflow management.
• Maintain compliance and quality through audits, error and near-miss reporting, PHI handling, adverse event reporting, and cross-functional improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy.
• Active Missouri Pharmacy License in good standing with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy.
• Strong command of written and verbal English required.
• Ability to perform high-volume prescription verification with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Technical aptitude and ability to learn pharmacy management systems, verification platforms, and workflow tools.
• Active home-state licensure is required; licensure in three additional listed states must be obtained within the first nine months of hire.

Nice to have

• Three or more years of experience in mail-order, specialty, retail, or closed-door fulfillment pharmacy.
• Prior licensure in AK, AL, AR, CA, ID, IL, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MS, NE, NV, OK, OR, TN, TX, VA, or WV.
• Familiarity with pharmacovigilance or adverse drug event reporting protocols.
• Bilingual Spanish skills for patient counseling.
