Software Engineering Intern (Aerospace)

Location: Plano, Texas, United States; onsite work in a laboratory or workshop environment. Ability to travel may be required. U.S. citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

What you will do

• Contribute to assigned tasks on active technical and engineering projects.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret technical data to support engineering decisions.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and records.
• Attend planning meetings and support project requirements, timelines, and team objectives.
• Perform hands-on technical work and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Collaborate with experienced professionals through project work, mentoring, and workshops.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a university, college, or technical school pursuing Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical degree.
• Must be a sophomore, junior, or senior with at least six months remaining until graduation after the internship ends.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, with attention to detail.
• Strong proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Ability to work collaboratively and perform computer-based and hands-on technical work.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Nice to have

• Previous technical or engineering internship or work experience.
• Familiarity with the aerospace and defense industry.
• Basic knowledge of CAD or MATLAB and experience with Microsoft Access.
