What you will do

• Plan and scope transmission-line projects.
• Communicate with project stakeholders and coordinate routine engineering activities.
• Select transmission-line structure types and evaluate geotechnical reports.
• Design multiple foundation types.
• Evaluate wire tension and clearances.
• Develop transmission-line designs using PLS-CADD and support project planning, scheduling, and cost estimates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program and at least two years of related engineering experience.
• A master’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program may qualify candidates for entry at this level.
• A bachelor’s degree in engineering technology is acceptable with a certified Professional Engineer license.
• A non-ABET bachelor’s degree in engineering may be supplemented by a master’s degree or PhD in engineering from a university with an ABET-accredited bachelor’s program.
• Ability to apply engineering theory, standards, codes, regulations, analysis techniques, and project planning methods to routine technical problems.
