Ground Software Intern (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, United States; in-person work at the Playa Vista office

Compensation: $45 per hour

hirify.global manufactures commercial satellite buses at scale using software, vertical integration, and manufacturing-oriented hardware for earth observation, communications, and other space applications.

What you will do

• Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of software that operates satellites.
• Work as an integrated member of the ground software engineering team.
• Own a scoped project with measurable impact during the internship.
• Complete meaningful tickets across the ground software stack.
• Collaborate with engineers while learning about satellite and aerospace systems.

Requirements

• Graduate in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Currently pursuing a BS or MS degree in a related field.
• Strong understanding of software architecture.
• Experience with Rust or C/C++ for backend development is preferred.
• Experience with Vue or React for frontend development is preferred.
• Spring interns must be able to pause or adjust academic commitments, such as taking a semester off or enrolling part-time, for the duration of the program.
