Resident Solutions Architect (dbt)

Location: Remote, must be physically located in the United States; approximately 10% travel for customer visits, company retreats, and offsites.

Salary: $179,982–$224,978 USD per year.

What you will do

• Deliver customer technical projects, including implementations, configuration troubleshooting, best-practice adoption, and MVP and long-term solution design.
• Consult with enterprise customers on architecture and technical design.
• Help strategic dbt Platform customers adopt and successfully use the product.
• Collaborate with Sales, Solution Architecture, Training, and Support teams.
• Provide customer feedback to product and engineering teams to improve prioritization and resolve engagement-specific issues.

Requirements

• Deep experience working with enterprise customers in a post-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
• Deep expertise in at least one data platform: Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• At least two years of dbt experience, ideally including one year with dbt Platform.
• Proficiency in SQL and some experience with Python.
• Experience managing technical project scope, timelines, deliverables, and multiple engagements.
• Clear communication of complex technical, architectural, and organizational problems to internal and external stakeholders.

Nice to have

• dbt Analytics Engineering Certification.
• Ability to advise on dbt Platform recommendations and build customer consensus.
• Experience with Informatica, Datastage, or Talend.
