Licensed Optician Full Time or Part Time

Location: Weymouth, MA #0018, United States; onsite

Hourly rate starting at $35.00 per hour, excluding spiffs and other additional compensation.

What you will do

• Dispense spectacles and other optical products for adults and children based on prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists.
• Verify prescription and order data, take measurements, read prescriptions with a lensometer, and maintain accurate order records.
• Advise members on lenses and frames, including style, weight, color, and products suited to their visual needs.
• Notify members when products are ready, complete dispensing, process payments, and maintain accurate funds.
• Provide eyeglass adjustments and repairs, including work with small optical hand tools.
• Support Optical Manager with opening and closing procedures, member service, sales goals, and club standards.

Requirements

• Active optician license required for the state of employment.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma, college degree, or wholesale, retail, or optical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of optical products and business practices preferred.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
