MariaDB/MySQL DBA (Travel Technology)

Location: Hybrid work at the Bogota office, Colombia

What you will do

• Plan and deploy MariaDB database clusters supporting multi-terabyte workloads with high availability and fault tolerance.
• Operate storage, archiving, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Maintain and upgrade clusters, including patching, kernel updates, PCI DSS compliance, and vulnerability remediation.
• Monitor database performance, manage parameters, and improve operational reliability.
• Investigate incidents, debug problems, provide recovery solutions, and participate in the 24x7 on-call roster.
• Document platform specifications and procedures while improving MariaDB automation with database development colleagues.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience managing MySQL or MariaDB in a critical, highly available enterprise environment.
• Experience working with Linux platforms.
• Experience with database automation using Ansible, Python, shell, or similar tools.
• CV must be submitted in English.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2016+ or Oracle 19c+.
