Litigation Attorney (Contract)

Location: Remote within the United States; contract attorneys may work from any U.S. location while complying with applicable bar membership rules.

Salary: $125–$175 per hour, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Conduct substantive legal research for ongoing and new litigation.
• Draft pleadings, legal briefs, memoranda, and other litigation materials.
• Prepare discovery documents, including motions, deposition outlines, and third-party subpoenas.
• Assist with the development of expert reports.
• Support fast-moving litigation and other legal work related to protecting free and fair elections.

Requirements

• Minimum three years of civil litigation experience.
• Comfort working on fast-moving litigation and handling some or all of the listed tasks.
• Ability to devote at least 20 hours per week, with a workload of 20–40 hours per week.
• Availability to start no later than October 5, 2026, and work through late March 2027.
• Ability to work from within the United States and comply with applicable bar membership rules.
• Strong commitment to protecting democracy and preventing authoritarian government.

Nice to have

• Experience with election law.
• Significantly more than the minimum litigation experience.
