Senior Director - Filtration Operations Device Plants (Life Sciences Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Ilfracombe, United Kingdom; leadership scope covers device manufacturing sites in Puerto Rico, the United Kingdom, Germany, and South Korea. Travel of up to 60% domestically and internationally is required.

Annual salary: £140,000–£155,000, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Lead the operational and strategic direction of five device manufacturing sites across multiple geographies.
• Establish a unified operating model and lead monthly and quarterly network business reviews.
• Own SQDIP performance and improve throughput, capacity, on-time delivery, yield, productivity, scrap, and inventory turns using hirify.global Business System tools.
• Coordinate with membrane operations to align production planning, inventory, capacity, supply-chain continuity, dual sourcing, and risk mitigation.
• Develop long-range manufacturing strategies covering footprint optimization, automation, technology upgrades, and investment sequencing.
• Build DBS capability, strengthen site leadership, and lead workforce development, talent management, and succession planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, science, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Long-standing experience leading global, multi-site manufacturing operations, preferably in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or another highly regulated industry.
• Demonstrated success improving performance through lean manufacturing, hirify.global Business System methods, systemic problem solving, and transformation leadership.
• Executive presence, strategic thinking, excellent communication, and the ability to influence across matrixed organizations and diverse cultures.
• Experience leading large, geographically distributed teams and creating consistency, shared culture, and performance rigor across manufacturing sites.
• Ability to work on-site and travel 60% domestically and internationally.

• Experience integrating acquisitions, launching manufacturing sites, or leading large-scale network optimization.
• Experience partnering with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Commercial functions.
