Lead Automation Test Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions with Java, Selenium WebDriver, and Cucumber.
• Build reusable automation frameworks based on the Page Object Model and maintainable coding standards.
• Convert user stories and acceptance criteria into automated scenarios and Cucumber feature files.
• Execute regression, integration, and functional test suites across release cycles and analyze results.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and maintain test data, reporting, and validation processes.
• Perform API and database validation, investigate root causes, identify quality risks, and collaborate with engineering, QA, product, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of experience testing and automating web-based enterprise applications.
• Strong Java programming skills and experience developing reusable automation frameworks with Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, Gherkin, step definitions, hooks, tags, runners, and scenario outlines.
• Experience with TestNG or JUnit and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Knowledge of regression testing, test design, defect management, quality assurance, and CI/CD integration with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Ability to write SQL queries for data validation, troubleshooting, and test verification.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience, along with strong analytical, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with U.S. retirement solutions, including defined contribution, defined benefit, pension, or 401(k) products.
• Knowledge of participant transactions, retirement plan administration, reporting, compliance, taxation, and related workflows.
• Experience with Git, Azure Repos, TFS, or similar version control platforms.
• Certification or training in test automation, software testing, Agile delivery, or DevOps practices.
