Manager, Fund Accounting (Private Markets)

What you will do

• Lead and manage a team of fund accountants, providing technical guidance, training, and coaching.
• Oversee end-to-end fund accounting, including daily, weekly, and monthly NAV calculations, financial statements, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting.
• Review and approve complex accounting entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Manage client deliverables, onboarding, and transitions while coordinating with internal departments across multiple jurisdictions.
• Serve as a primary daily client contact, prepare materials for client meetings, and support ongoing client relationships.
• Coordinate external audits and third-party reporting while contributing to service plans, calendars, and timelines.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, general ledgers, and financial statements within private markets.
• Experience managing or supervising people, including upskilling and coaching direct reports.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, UK GAAP, and IFRS.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, CA, or similar; nearly or fully qualified.
• Proficiency with fund accounting software such as Geneva, Advent, or Multifonds, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• University degree in Accounting, Business, Accountancy, or another finance-related discipline, along with strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and client service skills.
