Senior Software Engineer React Native

Technology and consulting company offering an overseas contractor opportunity.

What you will do

• Design and develop cross-platform features for the Pluto TV app across websites, iOS, Android, Fire TV Stick, and web-based CTVs.
• Build shared, maintainable React Native and React Native for Web code with abstractions for platform-specific requirements.
• Develop unit and automated functional tests using Test Driven Development, Playwright, WebDriver API, and Appium.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, implement, and ship new features.
• Optimize application performance, quality, and responsiveness across high- and low-performance devices.
• Fix bugs, remove process bottlenecks, and maintain CI/CD automation using NX Monorepo, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Helm, and Harness.

Requirements

• Approximately 8 years of experience developing mobile and web applications.
• At least approximately 2 years of cross-platform React Native development experience, including React Native for Web.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and state management libraries such as Zustand, RTK Query, or Recoil.
• Experience consuming REST APIs, writing unit tests, and working with continuous integration.
• Strong experience with Git, JIRA, Agile methodologies, debugging, and problem solving.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Firebase, DataDog, NX monorepo architectures, and automated testing.
• Experience with React web applications using Node, Bun, Next.js, or Hapi backends.
• Experience with Reanimated or other animation libraries.
• Experience building React Native applications for Android TV, tvOS, and web-based CTVs.
• Lead experience on React Native projects, game development with Lua, or AI coding tools.
