Senior C++ Developer (Financial Software)

Location: Lisbon, hybrid. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

hirify.global is hiring for a client in the financial industry that develops software supporting critical financial workflows.

What you will do

• Develop and optimize high-performance C++ applications for financial services.
• Automate workflows using shell scripting and C#.
• Integrate systems with Git version control and SQL databases.
• Enhance, support, and maintain reliable and scalable financial software solutions.
• Contribute to test automation, business-process mapping, and protocol validation.
• Work with Summit SDK and cross-functional teams to deliver software improvements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, ideally in financial services.
• Strong proficiency in C++, shell scripting, and C#.
• Hands-on experience with Git and SQL.
• Familiarity with Summit SDK and experience testing or mapping business processes and protocols.
• Fluent English and an existing legal right to work in the European Union are required.
• Proactive, autonomous, organized, and able to coordinate across functions.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of financial products such as credit derivatives, interest rate derivatives, FX, and options.
• Experience with Python, digital.ai (XLDeploy), Jenkins, or Artifactory.
• Knowledge of Back Office workflows, including clearing, confirmation, payments, and accounting.
• Portuguese proficiency.
