Software Test Engineer II (Python/Ruby)

What you will do

• Create and maintain automated test cases from manual test scripts and execute test suites before customer releases.
• Test complex API, web, network, and infrastructure applications that use database back-end systems.
• Design, troubleshoot, and continuously improve automated test suites integrated with continuous integration pipelines.
• Derive testing requirements, prepare test plans and reports, and plan test strategies according to project scope and delivery dates.
• Reproduce, debug, isolate, and verify fixes for software defects.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality Engineering teams on requirements, usability, functionality, standards, and release readiness.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python or Ruby and experience maintaining automated tests with BDD frameworks such as Behave.
• Solid Git experience, including branching strategies, pull requests, and submodules.
• Hands-on experience running and troubleshooting automated test suites in Jenkins and/or GitLab Runner pipelines.
• Practical experience with virtualized environments, particularly VMware ESXi, and basic administration of Linux, Windows, and macOS.
• Working knowledge of IP networking, including TCP/IP, routing, subnets, and basic firewall configuration.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, plus 2+ years of relevant experience; knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC, builds, and deployments.
