Quality Engineering Lead

Location: Helsinki, Finland — onsite. The role is based in the Helsinki office, where most of the Player Platform team and key stakeholders are located.

What you will do

• Own the QA strategy across hirify.global Store, hirify.global ID, and web services, balancing manual testing, automation, and monitoring.
• Lead the transition from manual-first QA to automation- and AI-assisted testing, working hands-on with engineering teams.
• Build scalable test automation and embed quality gates into CI/CD while improving testability and failure visibility during design and implementation.
• Extend quality practices into production through monitoring, real-signal validation, root cause analysis, and regression prevention.
• Drive end-to-end automated testing across games and connected systems in partnership with game teams and Central QA.
• Lead and grow the quality team, define release readiness criteria, coordinate stakeholders, and make go/no-go recommendations for player-facing launches.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with test automation and AI-assisted testing tools, including the ability to build and teach these capabilities.
• Working proficiency in a modern programming language, familiarity with cloud infrastructure, and knowledge of DevOps practices.
• Strong testing fundamentals covering test design, risk-based prioritization, and defect lifecycle management.
• Experience transforming a manual-first QA practice toward automation and leading QA or test engineering for a production system at meaningful scale.
• Experience testing both Android/iOS mobile products and web surfaces.
• People leadership or mentoring experience and the ability to influence engineering decisions across multiple teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with payment compliance, data protection, or age-related regulation in testing and release sign-off.
• Experience with end-to-end or integration testing across independently owned systems.
• Experience testing on PC in addition to mobile and web.
