Senior Data Scientist: Global Data Analytics - Internal Audit Innovation & Enablement

What you will do

• Partner with Internal Audit teams to design data-driven testing strategies across e-commerce, advertising, trust and safety, platform integrity, payments, infrastructure, and security.
• Translate audit objectives, risk hypotheses, and control designs into scalable analytical tests, metrics, and models.
• Develop complex queries, analytical logic, data quality checks, reconciliation logic, ETL pipelines, data marts, reusable analytics frameworks, and dashboards.
• Analyze user behavior, monetization flows, content and transaction lifecycles, and system events to identify anomalies, trends, control breakdowns, and emerging risks.
• Build data inventories and lineage documentation, assess data ownership and reliability, and support repeatable, defensible audit analytics.
• Enable continuous auditing and self-service analytics by automating recurring procedures, standardizing datasets, and training audit team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, statistics, computer science, financial engineering, operations research, economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python or R.
• Extensive hands-on experience in data analytics, data science, analytics engineering, or data engineering.
• Experience building data products for product, business, marketing, risk, compliance, or continuous audit analytics.
• Understanding of ETL, data integration, large-scale data processing, cloud data infrastructure, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business or risk questions into structured analytical approaches and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Hadoop, Flink, or MapReduce.
• Experience with decentralized or federated data environments and multiple data owners.
• Strong business acumen, stakeholder management, presentation, and data storytelling skills.
