Lead Go Engineer (AI/ML integration and configuration)

Location: Remote within CEE/EU; remote work outside Russia and Belarus. Working hours: 09:00–18:00 CEST.

Salary: $4,200–$4,500 gross per month. The role is offered on a B2B basis.

What you will do

• Lead the design and evolution of scalable distributed systems and microservices in Go.
• Integrate and configure AI/ML capabilities, including model selection, API integration, prompt engineering, and production deployment.
• Translate business goals into technical roadmaps and delivery plans.
• Conduct architecture and code reviews while mentoring senior engineers.
• Represent engineering in external stakeholder meetings and challenge unrealistic requirements.
• Improve CI/CD, observability, and engineering processes while remaining hands-on with coding.

Requirements

• 5–6+ years of commercial Go development experience.
• 2+ years in a technical leadership or lead engineer role.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices, and Go concurrency, including goroutines, channels, and synchronization primitives.
• Hands-on production experience with AI/ML integration or configuration, including LLMs, RAG pipelines, OpenAI APIs, LangChain, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and modern DevOps practices; higher education in IT.
• English at C1 level, readiness to work CEST hours, use a corporate laptop, and complete a live Go coding task during the client interview.
