Staff Software Developer Engineer (Azure)

What you will do

• Design, develop, implement, and support complex software applications, data pipelines, and cloud-based solutions.
• Work across backend services, APIs, databases, data platforms, and cloud infrastructure.
• Lead technical design and implementation for large-scale, business-critical initiatives.
• Develop and optimize ETL processes and large-scale data processing solutions.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, testing standards, and engineering best practices.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with Product, Architecture, Infrastructure, and Business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Substantial experience in software development, systems analysis, data engineering, or cloud engineering.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale applications and data platforms.
• Proven experience leading complex technical initiatives and influencing engineering direction.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, and SQL.
• Experience with Apache Spark, Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Microsoft Azure, Apache Airflow, Terraform, Docker, relational databases, Git, CI/CD, Agile, Scrum, and Kanban.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka, Databricks Workflows, Bash, and ELK Stack technologies.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or multi-cloud environments.
• Knowledge of Spark monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, Hive, HDFS, or Impala.
• Azure-related cloud certifications or familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor.
