What you will do

  • Identify and analyse technical, programmatic, and business requirements, constraints, and assumptions for current and future missions.
  • Perform mission-profile and technology trade-offs, including orbital, trajectory, manoeuvre, launch-injection, safety, and re-entry analyses.
  • Define Concepts of Operations and Operations Plans for hirify.global missions.
  • Perform thermal, radiation, illumination, space debris mitigation, and in-orbit safety compliance analyses.
  • Define and participate in mission-level verification activities and support the flight dynamics team during operations.
  • Interface with customers, partners, and subcontractors; support tool development, validation, and future business proposals.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in mission engineering or flight dynamics within the space industry or a space agency.
  • Knowledge of flight and orbital mechanics for high- and low-thrust trajectories.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with internal engineering teams.
  • Comfort interacting with institutional and commercial customers, including UKSA and ESA.
  • BSc degree in Aerospace, Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or a similar field.

Nice to have

  • Spacecraft operations experience and research activity in astrodynamics.
  • Knowledge of ECSS standards and space debris mitigation standards.
  • Knowledge of rendezvous and proximity operations.
  • Experience obtaining mission operations licences and interacting with regulatory bodies.
  • Familiarity with the full space programme lifecycle or an MSc in a relevant field.
