SAP MDG Functional Consultant – Finance (SAP MDG)

What you will do

• Lead the functional design and implementation of SAP MDG Finance solutions for general ledger accounts, cost centers, profit centers, and related financial master data.
• Gather, analyze, and challenge business requirements, translating them into scalable governance processes.
• Design MDG data models, change request types, approval workflows, validations, derivations, and replication requirements.
• Collaborate with Finance, Controlling, Accounting, Master Data, technical, integration, and SAP FI/CO stakeholders.
• Support data migration, mass uploads, validation, reconciliation, testing, UAT, and go-live activities.
• Prepare functional specifications and process documentation while supporting SAP ECC and S/4HANA migration, upgrade, and transformation programs.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of SAP experience, including 3–5 years of hands-on SAP MDG functional experience.
• Strong SAP MDG Finance expertise and understanding of SAP FI/CO master data structures and processes.
• Hands-on experience with MDG data models, governance workflows, change requests, validations, derivations, and replication.
• Experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments, including migration, upgrades, or transformation programs.
• Experience with data migration, mass upload, validation, reconciliation, and error handling.
• Fluent German and English required.

Nice to have

• SAP Master Data Governance certification.
• Experience with SAP MDG on S/4HANA, including co-deployed and hub deployment models.
• Experience with MDG Consolidation, Mass Processing, SAP Fiori, and SAP Clean Core architecture.
• Experience in large-scale global SAP S/4HANA transformation and template rollout programs.
