Lead Data Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Architect, build, and deploy production-grade data pipelines, lakehouses, and analytics-ready datasets.
• Translate complex business problems into technical designs, delivery roadmaps, and engineering tasks.
• Conduct code reviews, resolve production issues, and remain hands-on with difficult technical challenges.
• Establish standards for code quality, testing, CI/CD, documentation, data governance, and operational monitoring.
• Coach mid- and senior-level engineers while partnering with client architects, data scientists, and business leaders.
• Present technical solutions and communicate their business value to senior client stakeholders.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience delivering end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines and scalable data architectures.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Deep proficiency with data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Strong understanding of data lakes, lakehouses, warehouses, streaming and batch processing, orchestration, and production monitoring.
• Knowledge of data privacy, access control, encryption, schema management, and enterprise data quality frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to guide stakeholders while balancing delivery speed with technical quality.
