Senior System Engineer (Biopharma): Developing, verifying, and supporting complex software and hardware systems for biopharmaceutical chromatography and filtration platforms, with an accent on user and system requirements, verification strategies, and regulated-environment readiness. Focus on coordinating system-level testing, delivering functionality within the UNICORN software ecosystem, and collaborating across software, hardware, UX, and test engineering.
Location: Onsite in Uppsala, Sweden

What you will do
- Contribute to software development from a user and system perspective, aligning solutions with customer needs.
- Drive delivery of software functionality and products within the UNICORN software ecosystem.
- Identify, define, and document user and system requirements.
- Define verification strategies and author test procedures.
- Plan, execute, and coordinate system-level testing and verification across functions.
- Collaborate with software engineers, hardware engineers, UX designers, and test engineers while delivering team commitments.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in life science or engineering, such as biochemistry, molecular biotechnology, or chemical engineering, or equivalent.
- Several years of hands-on experience with chromatography and/or filtration processes.
- Experience in industrial or academic life-science environments, preferably in product or system development.
- Proven experience working cross-functionally in multidisciplinary R&D teams.
- Swedish and English are required as working languages.
Nice to have
- Experience with UNICORN software development.
- Hands-on experience with ÄKTA laboratory systems or large-scale ÄKTA equipment.
