Nurse Educator, RN (Hybrid Role) in Durham, NC

Location: Hybrid role in Durham, North Carolina; three days per week in an office in the Raleigh area, North Carolina. Travel is less than 20%. The schedule may include evenings, weekends, and coverage for Mountain or Pacific time zones. Candidates must reside in the United States and have authorization to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Salary: $70,000–$75,000 annually, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Coordinate connections between patients and approved patient-focused resources.
• Educate patients about chronic disease states and medication administration as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
• Support appropriate dialogue between patients and healthcare providers.
• Provide product-related education and support treatment decisions made by patients and healthcare providers.
• Communicate with enrolled patients by telephone, video, email, and SMS according to program guidelines.

Requirements

• Compact multi-state RN licensure and an active RN license in the primary residency state are required.
• North Carolina RN licensure is required; candidates may begin the process of obtaining a Compact State license after starting.
• Willingness to begin obtaining a California nursing license upon starting is required.
• Experience interacting directly with patients and supporting treatment persistence and compliance.
• Knowledge of clinical data and pharmacology, with strong time management, prioritization, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• A valid driver's license is required, and the driving record will be reviewed before hire.

Nice to have

• Nurse educator experience.
• Three or more years of clinical healthcare experience in a hospital, home health, pharmaceutical, or biotech setting.
• Experience in a virtual or call center environment and providing patient education by telephone.
• Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.
